Plate AI uses artificial intelligence to identify ingredients from photos you provide and to generate recipes, meal plans, grocery lists, and cooking guidance. Features, plans, and pricing may change over time.
Important — please read. Recipes, ingredient detection, nutritional information, and coaching provided by Plate AI are generated by artificial intelligence and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for you. They are provided for general informational purposes only and are not professional culinary, nutritional, dietary, medical, or food-safety advice.
You are solely responsible for verifying ingredients, allergens, freshness, food safety, cooking temperatures, and whether any recipe is appropriate for your health, allergies, and dietary needs. Plate AI may fail to detect allergens, spoiled or unsafe food, or other hazards. If you have a food allergy, medical condition, or dietary restriction, consult a qualified professional and independently confirm all information before relying on it. You use AI-generated content at your own risk.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
You retain ownership of the photos and content you submit ("User Content"). You grant Plate AI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and use your User Content as needed to operate and improve the Service (including processing by AI systems and providers). You represent that you have the rights to submit your User Content and that it does not violate any law or third-party right.
You agree not to misuse the Service, including: violating any law; uploading unlawful, infringing, or harmful content; attempting to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the Service; or using it to build a competing product.
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Plate AI and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
The Service relies on third-party providers (e.g., hosting, payments, AI). We are not responsible for third-party services, and their use may be subject to their own terms.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE OR ANY AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, SAFE, OR ERROR-FREE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PLATE AI AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF (OR RELIANCE ON) THE SERVICE OR AI-GENERATED CONTENT, INCLUDING ANY ILLNESS, ALLERGIC REACTION, INJURY, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Plate AI from any claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of [your state/country], without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
